Decanter Centrifuge
1.Continuous centrifuge
2.Supper centrifuge
3.High efficient centrifuge.
4.Centrifuge with CE,ISO
The Decanter Centrifuge is a specially developed continuous Solid-Bowl horizontal Scroll Discharge
centrifuge for effective separation of slurries into liquid-solid phases, liquid- liquid-solid phases,
with the application of centrifugal sedimentation principle.
A decanter centrifuge separates solids from one or two liquid phases in one single continuous process.
The Decanter Centrifuge is done using centrifugal forces that can be well beyond 3000 times greater than gravity.
When subject to such forces, the denser solid particles are pressed outwards against the rotating bowl wall of the centrifuge, while the less dense liquid phase forms a concentric inner layer. Different dam
plates are used to vary the depth of the liquid – the so-called pond – as required. The sediment
formed by the solid particles is continuously removed by the screw conveyor, which rotates at a
different speed than the bowl of the centrifuge. As a result, the solids are gradually "ploughed"
out of the pond and up the conical “beach”.
The centrifugal force compacts the solids and expels the surplus liquid. The dried solids then discharge
from the bowl. The clarified liquid phase or phases overflow the dam plates situated at the opposite
end of the bowl. Baffles within the centrifuge casing direct the separated phases into the correct flow
path and prevent any risk of cross-contamination. The speed of the screw conveyor may be
automatically adjusted by use of the variable frequency drive in order to adjust to variation in the solids load.
Centrifuge for Liquid-solid phases
The Centrifuge is for continuous separation of solids from liquids Such as thickening and dewatering
sludge, suspensions with granular solids, clarification of liquids, classification of fine pigments, etc. Stock liquid is
brought into the bowl of the centrifuge through a centripetal pump. Solid matter settles into
outer larger by the centrifugal force. The settled sediment is pushed into the drying area at the cone of
the bowl by rotary difference between spiral and bowl and discharged from the outlet. The clarified liquid flows out
from the liquid outlet centripetal pump.
Centrifuge for Liquid-Liquid-solid phases
The Centrifuge is for continuous separation of 3-phases systems consisting of two immiscible
liquids and solids.
Stock liquid is brought into the bowl of the centrifuge through a centripetal pump. solid matter
settles into outer larger by the centrifugal force. The settled sediment is pushed into the drying area at the
cone of the bowl by rotary difference between spiral and bow land discharged from the outlet. Because of the
different gravity of emulsion of liquid phases in the bowl, the light liquid and the heavy liquid are separated by
the baffle at the cylinder end of the bowl, light liquid flows out from the light liquid outlet through the centripetal
pump and heavy liquid flows out from the heavy liquid outlet.
