The hydro cyclone set is an assembled module consisting of several hydro cyclones and is fed intensively by a pulp distributer. This is conductive to balance pressure of pulp flowing into hydro-cyclones and ensure hydro cyclones operate normally.
The hydro cyclone set mainly consists of the following parts: pulp distributor, hydro cyclone, overflow box, underflow box, support, etc. The main feed tube, main overflow tube and main underflow tube are used to guarantee uniform feeding and centralized discharge.
Hydraulic cyclone is a kind of equipment for classifying the ore pulp by centrifugal force. It has no motion and dynamic parts,but it requires matching with corresponding slurry pump. It is mainly used in ore dressing industry for classifying, sorting ,thickening and desliming.
The feeding slurry flows into hydro cyclone in the involute direction under the action of pressure, large
particulars move downward along with outer helical flow under the effect of centrifugal force, coarse-grained underflow products flow out from underflow outlet, while the fine particles move upward along with
inner helical flow and fine-grained overflow products flow out from upper overflow tube.
