ACTION:
Enrofloxacin belongs to the group of quinolones and has bactericidal activity against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, including anaerobic pathogen populations. Most important micro-organisms are: E. coli, Mycoplasma spp., Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Pasteurella spp., Streptococcus spp., Klebsiella spp., Pseudomonas spp. and Campylobacter spp.

INDICATIONS:
For treatment of diseases of the respiratory and alimentary tracts of bacterial or mycoplasmal origin (e.g. pasteurellosis, mycoplasmosis, coli-bacillosis, coli-septicaemia and salmonellosis) in broiler chickens, broiler breeders, replacement chickens and turkeys.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
The product is administered via the drinking water. The dose rate is 1 gm. per 10 kg b.w. (10 mg per kg b.w.) daily for 3-5 days. In case of salmonellosis or pasteurellosis a treatment period of 5-10 days must be used.

WARNING:
Medicated water should be prepared every day, immediately prior to provision. Any medicated water remaining after 24 hours after preparation must be discarded.

CONTRAINCATIONS:
-Do not use in birds producing eggs for human consumption.
-Do not administer to layer replacement birds within 14 days of coming into lay.

INTERACTIONS:
Do not use with Macrolides, Tetracyclines, Chloramphenicol and polyvalent cations.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Chickens and turkeys: 8 days prior to slaughter.
Pigs: 12 days prior to slaughter.

STORAGE CONDITION:
Store below 30oC. Protect from light.
