1. Overview
Desanding cyclone can remove sand and other heavy impurities inside the starch slurry that processed by rasper, is an essential equipment in starch processing industry, also suitable for removing the heavy impurities in other fluid.
The equipment features simple structure and advanced design. It is made of high quality raw materials, the conical cyclone is made of high grade ceramic material, durable and high efficient, is SGM's unique technology.
2. Structure and principle (Attached drawing)
Desanding cyclone is composed of stainless steel feed inlet, discharge outlet (overflow pipe), conical ceramic cyclone, conical stainless steel tank (with two observation windows), automatic or manual sand dump valve (normally installed two desanding valves) and upstream wash water valve.
The Operating principle of desanding cyclone
When operating, starch slurry is pumped into desanding cyclone, as the effect of centrifugal force, lighter materials (starch) are discharged through overflow pipe, heavier materials (sand, etc.) are discharged from the bottom along the conical inner wall, sand downflow into the collecting pot, discharge through manual or automatic sand dump valve.
