Cyclodextrins are cyclic oligodextran. It is usually crystals that are linked by six, seven, or eight glucose units through the α,1-→4-linked ring phase. They are called α-, β or γ-cyclodextrin [α-Cyclodex-trinak Cyclohexaamylose, β-Cyclodextrin or Cyclo-heptaamylose, γ-Cyclodextrin or Cyclooctaamylose]. Cyclodextrins do not have reducing ends and have a certain degree of stability with acids. Normal starch acids are difficult to hydrolyze them.
Cyclohexapentylose Applications:
