Dry-strength Additives - Cationic Starch
Starch derivatives are the most commonly used chemicals for improving paper dry-strength. In order to ensure the
absorption of starch on the fiber surface, CHC has successfully prepared the cationic starches by incorporating specific
cationic monomers into natural starch molecules. The resultant cationic starches, which show highly affinity toward fibers,
have been widely applied as versatile dry-strength additives.
Characteristics
1.High retention and to cellulose and high dispersion.
2.Increase bonding sites among fibers.
3.Enhance bonding strength and textile strength.
4.Assist in drainage efficiency and machine speed.
Application
1.Various paper and board grades.
