What FAE could offer?
Working Theory
Filter press is used for solid~liquid separation of various suspending liquid in intermittent pressure filtration. Filter plates are pressed by pressing devices and suspending liquid is pumped into the filter chamber. Solid particles and liquid are separated through filtrating media (filter cloth).
1~Filter presses generally work in a "batch" manner. The term "batch" refers to the fact the cycle must be stopped to discharge the collected "filter cake" prior to restarting a cycle. "Pressure" is created by the feed pump in the separation process.
2~The plates are clamped together, then a pump starts feeding the slurry into the filter press to complete a filtering cycle and produce a batch of solid filtered material, called the filter cake. The stack of plates is opened, solid is removed, and the stack of plates is re-clamped and the filtering cycle is repeated.
Filtration Process
The process of one batch filtration is:
pressing -- feeding material – filtering -- discharging cake.
1~Closing of the filter plates: when start the press button on the PLC control cabinet,the moving head plates will be activated by the hydraulic clamping the plates.
2~Filling: The sludge (or slurry) will be pumped into the chamber one by one. When all chambers are full off filter cake, the filtration is finished.
3~Filter opening: The moving head is drawn back to disengage the first filtration chamber. The cake falls will drop from the plates under gravity.
The auto pulling system pulls out the plates one by one.
